The project in English and Spanish showed how wealth barriers in the U.S. immigration system privilege a select few. Players are provided an education in both how these systems work and the tensions they create within communities. The game focuses on the unique characteristics of Miami’s populations, demonstrating how money laundering and other practices perpetuate inequalities in these communities. The result is systemic inequalities that contribute to housing insecurity, income disparity and other contemporary maladies.
