Digital games for learning frequently showcase diversity in skin tones, nationalities, and hair types, but fail to address social justice issues of decolonization, power and privilege; centering multiple perspectives, and connecting real life and action. This is more rare for digital STEM games for learning. In this session, we will ponder what this might look like in digital games for learning, sharing examples of a digital game that moves beyond shallow representations of diversity.
